Peanut Products Recall

The Peanut Corporation of America has voluntarily recalled peanut products after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found serious violations at a manufacturing plant in Blakely, GA. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have identified this plant to cause nearly 600 people to experience symtoms of Salmonella Typhimurium such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever throughout 43 states. Major brands of jarred peanut butter from grocery stores have not been affected by this recall. But, to be safe please check with the CDC and FDA. More information about the recall can be found on the FDA website: http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/salmonellatyph.html
